10 Video Games You're Secretly A Fan Of

2. Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6 is easily the consensus worst game in the main Resident Evil franchise, an insanely trashy spectacle of nonsense which completed the series' controversial transition from survival horror into gonzo action.

This is, basically, the Resident Evil series re-imagined as a Michael Bay movie: it's wildly overlong, totally ridiculous, and often insanely dumb.

The four campaigns are completely uneven quality-wise, and by the end of its 25-hour story, many were left more exhausted than entertained.

The complaints are all valid, and yet, there's a bizarre charm to Resident Evil 6, a game that throws everything at the wall to see what sticks, in turn embracing the series' inherent corniness more enthusiastically than ever before.

It's best played co-operatively with a pal, of course, but no matter how you play, Resident Evil 6 is hardly the irredeemable trash planet some fans would have you believe. Sometimes a dopey action game is just what the doctor ordered, in which case it delivers well above the odds.

That doesn't mean we're not glad the series is back on firmer ground these days, though.
