10 Ways Assassin's Creed Origins Has Already Saved The Franchise

6. A 'Back To Basics' Costume

Let's just get it out there: AC Syndicate and Unity's costumes were a bit naff. Not inherently, objectively bad as tailored, memorable outfits go, but not a patch on Ezio's impressive wardrobe, Connor's Native American-inspired design or the simplistic, priestly look of Altair.

With Origins and the notion of Ba Yek being both a representative of Egyptian culture and a member of the mercenary Medjay, his continually hooded appearances in the images and footage we've seen so far recall that of Altair, or another fan favourite, Edward Kenway.

There's a 'back to basics' simplicity to his ragged attire - one that's clearly meant to represent a blank canvas as you'll be attaching all manner of fancy loot components, but screams "Assassin's Creed protagonist!" way more than the top hatted look of Jacob Frye or the overly trim design of Arno Dorian.
