10 Ways Assassin’s Creed 2017 Could Be The Best Yet

9. Ditch The Present Day Stories Once And For All

The Assassin's Creed series has always built its overarching narrative out a bizarre mix of historic and present day sequences. The bulk of the game has you operating in the past via memories, but the duality of the story has always been a divisive inclusion.

In earlier instalments it was easier to accept the present day sequences as there was a feeling that Ubisoft was building towards a full title set in the present. With that likelihood now becoming less and less probable, it's time to ditch the split story altogether.

The present day segments pop into the historic story at frustrating moments and they often interrupt a flow of action and progression. They're now ultimately irrelevant to the story; I can hardly imagine gamers having a problem with the game just taking place in the past if it meant that the whole story flowed a lot better.

The present day element has been getting smaller as the series has gone on, but it's finally time to cast it aside for good.
