12 Ways Bethesda Should Have Made Fallout 4
3. Armour Layers & More Base Options
A truly strange oversight, this. Despite the fact that armour pieces are segmented into head, chest and all four limbs, you can only place them on top of your basic Vault-tec suit, as oppose to applying them to the many other pieces of equipment you'll find.
It results in your character barely looking any different for the duration - unless you want to prioritise a cool-looking jacket over not getting mauled by a Deathclaw.
Maybe this is just a decision Bethesda wanted you to consciously make, but being that many shoulder pieces and leg braces hang 'off' your character's skin anyway, they'd clearly sit nicely over the majority of what you pick up.
Again, a mod on PC addressed this immediately, but it's something almost every other player has pondered since day one.
