4. Some Method Of Travel Other Than Fast Travel

Bethesda have always been the king of giving you a reason not to fast-travel, instead ensuring tons of interesting things are on your way from checkpoint to checkpoint, if you'd just take the time to wander on foot.

However, the vast majority of players will see the option to get to their destination immediately and take it, every time. To meet in the middle, a method of travel that's faster than walking, but not as instant as fast-travel, would've been ideal.

Vehicles were rumoured for quite some time pre-release, and as we're seeing robots get the fleshed out DLC treatment, why are there no cobbled-together, Mad Max-style machines we can use to get across the wasteland?

Cars in many open-world games are ostensibly the norm, which is perhaps why they weren't on the table, but there's nothing saying we couldn't have some cool mech-bike or other crafted bit of kit to get around in.
