10 Ways Bioware Can Still Save Mass Effect

9. Remaster The Trilogy To Remind The World Why The Franchise Matters

Speaking of the original trilogy, for years - and especially this generation when remasters of everything from Prototype to freakin' Night Trap get commissioned - we've been waiting on a Mass Effect rework.

Now, EA's Peter Moore once got a little heated over how many times the fans and press had bugged him about this (because y'know, it's kind of the only remaster people actually want), initially quashing all hope and pointing instead to "the future" and the then-potentially-good Mass Effect Andromeda.

Of course, Andromeda failed to land and that future is now hella hazy, so why not bring back a 'Mass Effect trilogy box set'? All three games touched up in HD/4K, with all the DLC coded in as standard - the whole 'Definitive Edition' treatment?

Announce it on N7 Day and have all sorts of fancy Collector's Editions, perhaps with a crew member figure each going alongside (dibs on Tali). The fact is: you have a decade-strong franchise cemented in the minds of an entire generation of fans, with the rest of the world having absorbed some of that positivity through osmosis anyway.

The first step to rebuilding Mass Effect as a name, is to remind the world why it mattered in the first place.
