As touched upon in the opening paragraphs of this article, since the initial release of Destiny, Bungie has had time to grow and learn. It's easy to see just in the maintenance and progression of Destiny itself how much Bungie is learning. Destiny at release was a shell of what it is today, and with each expansion, Bungie brought something new in that addressed an existing problem.

Just look at the entries in this article to see where Bungie has righted their wrongs. Guided Games is going to allow those who run Destiny 2 alone to join in on all the activities that require a full fireteam to get through. A restructure on guns is going to allow for the Crucible to function without the fear of being gunned down with a single shotgun shot every two feet. The new planets are going to be bigger than ever, and will actually be filled with things to do this time around. And those are just a fraction of the points Bungie has made to address in their upcoming sequel.

Destiny 2 will be the release that Destiny wasn't. Bungie has experience under its belt and knows what they want to bring but more importantly, what they can bring and what is realistic.

You can almost think of Destiny as a three-year, highly functioning and elaborate beta for its sequel. A sequel that, no doubt will leave fans satisfied.
