10 Ways EA Can Vastly Improve FIFA’s Career Mode

10. Create-A-Manager

First and foremost, we want to be able to choose everything about the way our manager looks. If we fancy giving him a conk the size of a bus or think hilarious Christmas jumpers are suitable management attire all year round, then it should be possible.

This is a video game, not a job interview, and so EA's boring templates should be scrapped.

Pre-release hopes were dashed when FIFA 19 released and the same old handful of lifeless mannequins greeted us on the 'Manager Preferences' screen. Even that name is lifeless, and it needs a splash of colour before having the choice between two young bosses, a few wrinkly gaffers and limited ethnicities becomes a serious bone of contention with fans.

Building a manager from the ground is the least EA should be offering these days. Other games have depth to their customisation, so why is FIFA stuck in the dark ages? We're sick of going that handsome looking chap (middle, bottom row) and always putting him in a white shirt and black tie.
