Certain modes have been left behind in recent years such as career mode.

For players that don't want to play online, career mode offers the most content. The concept has always been simple, pick your favourite team and play through season after season aiming for glory.

However, with the focus all being on the online areas of the game, career mode has become stagnated.

For players that just want to play a career it will be beyond frustrating. Each year you are buying the new version of FIFA just to get the updated squads.

This was highlighted on FIFA 20 with no meaningful additions at all. The biggest change in the mode last year was slight tweaks in press conferences.

In addition, this year's title had a near game-breaking fault at launch which saw computer controlled teams fielding their reserves for competitive games. This was eventually patched, but highlights that career mode is not the priority for EA Sports.
