10 Ways God Of War 4 Is Already The Best In Years

1. The New Camera System Changes Everything

One of the few drawbacks of the previous God of War titles was that static viewpoint, rigidly fixed as though the cameraman was bound by the Chains of Olympus.

Although Sony Santa Monica used this to its advantage by crafting tight encounters with an imposing sense of scale, the decision to set the camera free in the next instalment is a wise move.

It will loom near during combat situations, making for more intimate battles as players get up close and personal with trolls, Draugr and other mythological creatures.

The new God of War promises to offer a more hands-on cinematic experience in which players assume control of the camera and the entire game will be a single shot, which means there will be no loading screens - they’ve been left to rot in the realm of Hades where they belong.
