The Mount Chilliad Mystery has been eating away at the conspiracy theorists of internet forums ever since the game was released. Where most people have not invested too heavily into the mythos surrounding the strange markings at the tallest point in Grand Theft Auto V, it has consumed others to the point of obsession. Worryingly, there may be not ultimate answer. The very real possibility exists that this is an elaborate device designed to keep interest high over the course of the games lifetime. It wouldn't be the first time Rockstar has carefully maintained a lie, or a fan created entity of speculation to push sales and general goodwill and interest towards Grand Theft Auto. The constructed mythos surrounding Bigfoot's appearance in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas proves that point. Of course in this day and age it would be easy enough for Rockstar to push a small patch adding in a final answer to the riddle and vindicate all of the tortuous preamble that they have forced us through, maintaining the facade and pretense that the answer was there all along and we would be none the wiser.
