10 Ways The Nintendo Switch Is Better Than PS4 & Xbox One
8. Controller Battery Life That Lasts Longer Than A Few Hours
Speaking of controllers, if you were one of the loyal fans who snapped up a PS4 at launch, you'll be laboured with what feels like a prototype for the Dualshock 4. Seriously, this thing requires charging after every game session, and will regularly give out during gameplay as its battery life tops out at around six to eight hours.
Thankfully, Sony eventually released a spruced up DS4 that extends battery life to around 10 or 12 hours and stops the analogue rubber falling off - and Microsoft's Elite Controller has the best lifespan of the bunch - but early adopters are left to twist in the wind.
On the Switch, both pads will charge for around 20 hours; a substantial step-up from the competition, and that's before mentioning that they charge off the side of the Switch itself, negating all cables and letting you continue playing.
