8. Mediocre Online Services
One of the indisputably superior features of the Xbox 360 over the PS3 is the excellent online service, Xbox Live, a paid service which blows the free PSN offering totally out of the water. You get what you pay for in this world, and with Live, we got a comprehensive, extremely well-organised, accessible and downright brilliant array of options, making playing games with your buddies a joy and a piece of cake. PSN, meanwhile, has a clunky dashboard that the console struggles to integrate into play, and features such as PlayStation Home just never really took off. Sony have been improving things with PSN Plus, though they smartly made the decision to start charging for PSN on the PS4, a move that should (theoretically) result in a more streamlined and accessible experience online. Still, the track record rests with Microsoft for this one, and if Sony don't
drastically alter the layout of PSN for the PS4, then they're going to be doomed to repeat the same mistakes again.
