4. PS Move vs. Kinect

Though few will argue that the console war is going to hinge on which platform has the stronger motion capabilities, it's safe to say that it certainly can't hurt. In the previous generation, the Wii enjoyed tremendous success with its motion gimmickry, giving Nintendo the easy win, and causing its competitors to realise that they had clearly missed a trick. Microsoft followed with the Kinect and Sony with the PS Move, and while both peripherals ended up selling well, few will dispute the fact that the Kinect is the higher-profile and better-implemented of the two. While both peripherals boast only a few games that core gamers will actually want to play, hopefully this will change on next-gen platforms, as more sophisticated iterations of the Kinect and Move are unleashed upon us. Sony have implemented a light bar into their controller to interact with the Move camera, and though this indicates a greater commitment to Move right out of the box, it still feels like something that Microsoft are putting more effort into.
