8. Improved Sense of Direction
We've got GPS, Google Maps, MapQuest, we've got it all. All it takes is a precisely timed and toned "Siri, I wanna go home", to get you back to your comfort zone. Some folks simply cannot navigate their surroundings without instantaneous support. Gamers have no such problem. Hand us a paper map, and you might as well call us Indiana Jones. Why? With the advent of "open world" games, these interactive worlds have become even more expansive, giving you that much more to get lost in. It's here that your navigation skills are put to the test. You've got mini maps, world maps, landmarks, and a plethora of tools to get you from point A to point B. But not only that, you become more aware of your surroundings through the tried and true formula of trial and error. After all, you can only pass the same cave so many times before you realize, "hey, I think I'm going in circles..."
