10 Ways Watch Dogs 2 Is Already Better Than The Original
3. More In-Depth Interactions Using Technology
In Watch Dogs, It was great being able to see a quick description of each NPC, as it made them feel somewhat realized figures within the world. However, outside of the car chase hacks and the blackout, the whole hacking concept got dull too quickly. Unfortunately, the game didn't extend much further than that with its core gameplay concept, leading to inevitable disappointment and desiring of more.
Watch Dogs 2 promises to include more opportunities to interact with the world, as well as increase the player's options in both combat and outside of it. The ability to hack and control cars manually seems to be the biggest inclusion, with multiple gameplay videos showing just how entertaining it can be. Every NPC's phone is now hackable, with plenty of intriguing conversations and eavesdropping available at any given moment.
There's even the ability to hack into the police network and label someone as a fugitive, leading to effective distractions.
Throw this in with new environmental hacks, the ability to scope out territories without relying on security cameras, and the improved connectivity with the game world is more apparent than ever. It's time that we actually feel like hackers with the ability to manipulate the environment around us. If Ubisoft makes the hacking feel prominent and powerful, then the feature will no longer feel like a wasted concept.
