10 Ways Watch Dogs 2 Is Already Better Than The Original
2. There Are Radio Stations (And Song Selection)
When developing an open-world game in a modern setting, it is essential that you include a quality soundtrack of licensed songs to make driving more entertaining and enjoyable. The GTA series, Saints Row, and the recent Mafia 3 all accomplished this in spades as each game's soundtrack helped heighten the experience, but Watch Dogs didn't seem interested in the concept, offering an un-organized group of songs with no radio stations to filter them.
Watch Dogs 2 does not wish to make that same mistake twice, as Ubisoft has stated that music will have a greater presence throughout the game. Although it hasn't been confirmed how many licensed songs there will be, senior producer Dominic Guay stated that they're working on getting "50-70 total songs." The organization offered by the new radio stations will make jamming out easier than ever during a car chase.
There will be hip-hop, rock, reggae, EDM, and classical music stations offered, with players able to make a custom playlist if they choose. A great game is created through working on the little details, and a great open-world game typically has a great soundtrack. Here's hoping WD2 doesn't disappoint in the radio department.
