The 'incredible crisis' of Incredible Crisis is that four members of a working-class Japanese family must find a birthday present for their grandmother. Most of the game is comprised of a series of minigames, and it's clear that Incredible Crisis was a big influence on the more famous 'WarioWare' games. These minigames can vary between dancing together as a family in order to keep fit, to dodging a giant globe of the world in a shopping mall. There's even a barely concealed sex minigame. All with the goal of finding your grandmother a birthday present. It's an extremely quirky game, from the exaggerated emotions of the characters to the highly unpredictable gameplay and narrative. Why can't we have more games with such ridiculously mundane objectives? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nh9qpBryGdw
