9. Goat Simulator
From something that started out as a joke prototype from an internal game jam, Goat Simulator ended up as a huge hit, thanks mostly to the excitement it generated on social media. The main appeal of Goat Simulator is that you're given free reign to or do, or destroy, all around you. While this may sound like something which is possible in a lot of games, it's the doing it as a goat which really sets it apart from the pack (or herd). The game's mechanics have been compared to an old school skater, and, much like a lot of entries on this list, it's the physics that makes it all so funny (to most people). It was such a hit that the game got some DLC: Goat MMO Simulator.
