Wario is obsessed with picking noses. After all, next to treasure hunting and game development, it’s his favourite pastime.

Virtually every entry in the series encompasses this unhygienic activity, usually in the form of a five-second micro-game, such as pressing ‘A’ to pick the nose when the finger is just below a nostril.

WarioWare: Twisted had a boss battle devoted to digging for gold, except it featured a robot who launched hand-missiles to pick or knock away incoming nostril rockets.

Eventually, a big nose and pair of eyes begin to launch even more attacks. The trick is to clog the windy sinuses with as many hand-missiles as possible in order to render them useless.

After successfully blocking the nose holes, the pupils from the eyes slide away, revealing an even bigger, hairier nose. Meanwhile, the robot gobbles a piece of fruit to upgrade itself with two arms extended.

Swinging left to right, you must press ‘A’ at the right time to pick both nostrils and make it explode, all the while avoiding more and more of its attacks. It makes a soft but hilarious “Ooh!” when you hurt it.

Who knew it could be such an exhilarating activity? But it’s still gross.
