Starting in 2015 Sky Sports have used the Football Manager database to rate the season's new signings, taking the games at face value in how they good they reckon certain players' dribbling, acceleration, and goal-scoring techniques are. The game does strive for accuracy, but it seems a bit unprofessional almost for Sky Sports to rely on it.
