RPG's and mobile games seem to go hand in hand on paper. As we said before, games like Raid Shadow Legends demonstrate that this genre of games can blend perfectly with a mobile format if handled correctly.

When handled incorrectly, it can become the mobile ports of Final Fantasy 1-6.

You would think it'd be easy to port a turn based RPG from almost 20 years prior to the release of the first smartphone onto IOS and Android devices - even six of them - but Square Enix always finds a way to slip up the simplest things.

The mobile ports of Final Fantasy I-VI aren't weird for their base concept. No, they're weird because of how different they are to their originals, and how none of the differences make the game better. The music is changed, the graphics in V and VI specifically were updated in an attempt to look more detailed, but just made them look worse.

While the combat worked alright in all of them, and the stories were kept intact, the changes made to them were like a thousand tiny holes in the wooden support beam of a house. You may think it isn't a problem, but they add up to a big problem very fast.
