10 Worst Celebrity Video Game Performances

2. Bill Murray - Ghostbusters: The Video Game

While Bill Murray is a living treasure, it’s obvious when his heart isn’t truly in a performance. This was clearly the case with his cameo in Ghostbusters 2016, where he looks so bored it wouldn’t be a surprise to learn if he nodded off between takes.

For many years Sony tried to convince him to make a third Ghostbusters, but he kept rejecting the scripts they sent. Things briefly looked up when he – alongside most of the original cast – did voiceover work for the 2009 game. He expressed how much fun he had stepping back into the role, which might be a surprise to anyone who heard his performance.

His low energy, mumbly work can be hard to hear at times, and the cynical quick wit Venkman possessed in the movies just isn’t there. This is probably a result of him reading from a script instead of being allowed to improv, but it sounds like he recorded his lines in the space of an afternoon, and didn’t feel the need to invest them with much energy.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
