10 Worst Fatalities In Mortal Kombat History
6. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (2002) - Quan Chi
Ah, what a difference 5 years makes. The graphics in Deadly Alliance were a remarkable improvement back in 2002 - in fact, they still look pretty good today. It was the first instalment in the franchise to mix up the kombat by introducing different fighting styles for each character, but blah blah - where are the fatalities?!
Well, new character Bo Rai Cho was a bit of funkier, chunkier inclusion, although he offered a particularly weak fatality; winding up for what seemed like forever before just jumping belly first on his opponent - but the worst (especially considering the pre-release screenshots alluding to heads being torn off) has to be Quan Chi's. How the mighty have fallen.
In Mortal Kombat 4 he had the best, most immediately iconic fatality - ripping off someone's leg and beating them to death with it; that is simply marvellous. In Deadly Alliance however, he jumps on his opponent's shoulders and pulls their neck so that it stretches like a giraffe's... and that's it. ... Definitely memorable, but for all the wrong reasons.
