10 Worst Gaming Moments Of 2014

2. Master Chief€™s Matchmaking Problems

As one of the most beloved AAA franchises of the millennium, Bungie€™s Halo series is responsible for many gamers€™ love of online FPS titles today. Halo: The Master Chief Collection was to be a love letter to fans of the sci-fi series, bringing together every one of the chief€™s adventures into a remastered package for the Xbox One. Despite the fact that many had already played much of the content in The Master Chief Collection in their earlier gaming careers, the collection was set to be one of the biggest releases of the year. The primary draw was that each game would have online multiplayer, with remastered maps and tweaked matchmaking. The dream of reliving some of our fondest gaming memories seemed real. Although the single-player campaigns worked well enough, The Master Chief Collection launched with horrific problems with its online multiplayer. There were many reports of players being unable to connect to any matches whatsoever, while others claimed that there were issues within the games themselves. 343 Industries have rolled out a number of patches in an attempt to quell the problems, but the game is still reported to have game-breaking issues online.
