6. Slow Sonic
Where Mario manage to transition into 3D with the magnificent Super Mario 64, staying on top form ever since, Segas mascot has had a far shakier transition. Every console since the early 00s seems to have been graced with a dud of a Sonic title, and Sonic Boom is the latest offender. Receiving universally negative reviews upon release, Sonic Boom could be the most disastrous Sonic game ever released. Without even commenting on the ridiculous number of bugs and glitches, Sonic Boom had gameplay that was an open mockery of the hedgehogs glory days. Worst of all, Sonic and friends were all incredibly, painfully slow. Combine this with floaty, unsatisfying controls and Sonic Boom has zero resemblance to the series we once loved and admired.
