10 Worst Middle-Stage Pokémon
3. Charjabug
"Step inside, it's a wilder ride! Come on! Ride on The Magic School Bus!" Oh, wait, that's not a school bus... it's Charjabug.
Early on in their journey through Alola, trainers will invariably come across a Bug Pokémon called Grubbin. Once Grubbin reaches level 20, it evolves into this... bug cube? To be fair to it, it does gain the Electric-type, which makes it only the fourth Bug/Electric-type Pokémon so far, the others being Joltik, Galvantula, and its eventual evolution, Vikavolt.
Speaking of "eventual evolution," Charjabug evolves when it is leveled up in a "special magnetic field". The only "special magnetic field" in Alola exists within the Vast Poni Canyon, which is the site of the last Totem Pokémon battle. In other words, if a trainer wants a Vikavolt for their team, they have to wait basically all the way until the end of the main game to get one.
It's a shame that Vikavolt is so cool, because the road towards getting one is tedious at best.
