7. Elena Is A Murderous Psychopath?! (Uncharted 4)

Elena's role in Uncharted 4 is to be doubted by Nate as someone who can't handle 'the real him', before he realises the person he's living with and totally in love with, is probably the same soul he should truly be himself around.

That said, there's a particular moment just after Elena has re-entered the story to be Nate's companion, where as you enter Libertalia, her A.I. will start snapping necks and shooting goons like nobody's business. I literally had a beat where I was pinned down by one enemy with an assault rifle, only for Elena to spring up and wring their neck like she's cracking a glow-stick.

It was jarring, to say the least.

Granted, it's something of a conceit for this series that wanton violence is forever at odds with the cheery and charming nature of the protagonists, but where in this character's history did she start learning to dispatch villains like Rambo?!
