Max Payne - one of the most instantly-loved and downright cool franchises in the history of gaming. Alan Wake - much the same, albeit doing for Twin Peaks and Stephen King what Mr. Payne did for film noir.

Quantum Break... errr, not so much. It kinda just came and went (mostly down to Uncharted 4 arriving only a month later), but its problems were far deeper than just being related to exposure. Voice acting for one, was notably terrible from Dominic Monaghan, who tried his best to do some best for 'neurotic-scientist-who-didn't-want-any-of-this-to-happen', but came out sounding like a drunken parody of The Wire.

"I ceh'n't believe this is h'eh'ppening" he'd grumble, leaving all of us watching at home to think, "Really?! THAT was how they wanted that line to be read?"

Needless to say, reading about this game right now is probably the most thought you've paid Quantum Break in months.
