10 Worst Moments In 2016's Biggest Video Games
3. The Division's Biggest Selling Point Being Impossible To Enjoy
There was a lot to like about the dystopian-tinged Division, however the biggest and most unique idea was the Dark Zone; a place in the centre of New York City where you could stroll in, and battle other agents for some sweet, sweet loot.
In reality though, firstly it was impossible as a solo experience (something Ubisoft insisted wouldn't be the case) because if you were shot down, nobody could revive you, leaving your character stranded in the "I'm down!" state. It meant extracting any items you do come across is next to impossible, and that's before the game's auto-scaling of damage in relation to your level could see an enemy's pistol blow you away from across the map.
The notion of a free-for-all, Wild West-style setup where anyone can betray anyone is fantastic, but without restrictions on outnumbering opponents and the fact that you'll get labelled 'ROGUE' even if a teammate runs into your line of fire, is just impossible to love.
