5. Shephy

Not all Arc Systems Works games are created equal, as these are the guys that bring us regularly outstanding Guilty Gear titles alongside the jaw-dropping Dragon Ball FighterZ that's scheduled for 2018. However, clearly Shephy's heart is in the right place as it's essentially a table-top card game mixed with Solitaire elements, all themed around sheep, yet the execution is completely off.

It's a shame too, as this art style is refreshingly unique when sat next to the myriad of flash games and cartoon aesthetics that otherwise dominate the majority of the Switch's 2D output.

Sadly, although ACS's Switch debut looks the part, in motion it's a no-frills, supremely basically animated card game. In a world where Gwent and Heartstone are doing the rounds digitally and Magic: The Gathering sets the physical standard bar VERY high, lil' Shephy literally has nothing to offer.

Hilariously, in doing further research for this piece, I noticed Shephy isn't even listed on Arc System Works' Wiki page anymore.

Ouch.
