10 Worst Nintendo Switch Games Of 2017

6. Othello

Othello game
Arc System Works

It's a testament to how simple and charming the basic act of playing a round or two of Othello is, that the game version doesn't feel like a total waste of time.

Because man, everything outside of that basic counter-flipping premise is phoned in. From a distorted signal. And even that got cut off halfway through.

A Switch launch game, Othello's premise is predicated on placing black or white tokens on either side of the opposing colour, to "claim" all pieces within. Opponents take turns making longer and longer strands, and you can even plan ahead by having a piece sit on the corner of the board, only to snag an entire diagonal line in one go.

What a rush.

Outside of gameplay though, menus are the very definition of serviceable, as the game's "tutorial" and information on how to even play are resigned to an icon that loads in a web browser.

How... resourceful?
