10 Worst Power-Ups In Gaming History

3. Active Camouflage - Halo

Although bad, active camouflage from the Halo franchise is not the worst on our list. That’s because active camo could potentially have some uses. Though, you'd have to really want to make it work and even then, it’s a debate to be had whether or not shooting would have gotten you the same result. In some areas camo could be used to sneak or run through an area to the next checkpoint, which is very useful on Legendary difficulty.

It could also be used to assassinate unaware enemies, such as energy sword wielding Elites. This notion carries over to multiplayer except it’ll almost always get you killed because you’re not invisible, you’re shimmering.

Those are the biggest uses you’ll get, a cheeky kill and speed-running forward to a checkpoint. That is, if you can actually find one before you need to do any of those. Anything else and you’re going to need skill, determination and most importantly, quite a bit of luck on your side. Ultimately, the power-up could be improved if you were actually invisible but all things considered, just stick to the over-shield.
