6. The Order: 1886
Much has been made about the massive disappointment that is The Order: 1886. It was promoted as a potential system-seller based on visuals alone long before its release, but instead ended up being a four hour long cutscene with some mediocre third-person shooter sections in between. The Order is confused about what it wants to be. It attempts to tell a werewolf story with a unique spin, but is so interested in doing so that it forgets to be a game. The fact that it is more movie than game might not have been a problem if the story and its characters were compelling, but it is told with such a straight face and the utmost sincerity; practically begging its audience to take its silly premise seriously. Of course, there is no denying that this game is gorgeous to look at, but that is precisely the problem. It is all show and no substance; a glorified tech demo meant to show off the graphical proficiency of the PS4 and nothing more. Its not the worst video game ever, and at least its short, but there is not enough in The Order: 1886 to make it worth your time.
