9. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 - The Sith Lords
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=N0SI8Z6lpiw Knights of the Old Republic 2 is another awesome sequel, though at least it wasn't saddled with the responsibility of handling a huge dangling thread like the second Shenmue was. This is probably the best Star Wars game ever made; it's full of heart, and has an extremely well-written story that would slot well into George Lucas' mammoth enterprise, if it wasn't for that damn ending. The game's epic scope sees you travelling all over the galaxy, making acquaintances, forging allies, and finally, having a bomb detonate, at which point, going by regular narrative, we get to see the results of that, perhaps hang with our friends and generally have a nice little wrap-up. But not here. Kreia, an annoying supporting character, pops up to tell us what probably took place through a boring dialogue, rather than doing the sensible, cinematic thing and actually showing it to us. It ends the game on an absolute whimper, when it had been a barn-stormer up until that point.
