10 Worst Video Game Endings Of All Time

8. Fallout 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzpgMzP9pIg Fallout 3 is a fantastic game, serving up a staggering amount of scope and choice to the player, as well as presenting a morality system that made this sprawling world feel all the more real. Furthermore, there was a real sense of urgency going into that final mission, and when it came to it, I decided to sacrifice myself for the greater good. And after dumping 30 or 40 hours into this game, what do I get for it? A bunch of sodding still images and some voice-over narration - that's it. It lasts two minutes and we're done; if we want to play in this world anymore, we have to start the game, for we're not permitted to see how it has changed through the eyes of another character. I mean, why not at least have it be narrated by someone relevant to the story? Instead, it firmly strips the emotion out of what should have been a cathartic moment given everything we'd been through. It's just careless and lazy, like they had to rush to get it done so thought, "This'll do".
