Nintendo clearly has the Pokémon formula down to a T on handhelds, but it's been a very long time indeed since there's been a decent game in the series on consoles. Pokémon Rumble U unfortunately follows this trend. It's a dungeon crawler in which players take control of toy versions of Pokémon and mash buttons to beat up enemies. It's actually not that bad in the beginning, but the easy difficulty and limited moveset cause it to become a complete bore after about 5 minutes. Worse still, the levels are re-hashed for all of Rumble U's different ranks, but only the most hardcore Pokémon of fans will bother to play through this lazily put together game more than once. Just quit with the rubbish console spin-offs and make a Pokémon MMO already, Nintendo!
