This multi-platform title was ported over to Wii U for reasons unclear. If its developer Eurocom had any sense of shame this would be buried in the New Mexico desert right next to Atari's E.T. As titles like Rare's classic Goldeneye have proven, Bond games can be really great when the developer treats the source material with the respect it deserves. 007 Legends' concept of putting all of the iconic action sequences from Bond's movies in one game is decent enough, but sadly it's executed with the style and grace of a drunk lap dancer. The main issue is that there's no context for the set-pieces, with the game jarringly switching from one to the other without any explanation. If the player hasn't seen every Bond movie several times, chances are they won't have a clue what's going on. The gameplay doesn't hold up much better, either. Annoying, clunky controls bog down the experience and the inconsistent level design, dull, glitchy visuals and the remarkably stupid boss fights that are nothing more than quick-time events do nothing to help matters. Eurocom did nothing to fix the glaring fundamental flaws in the Legends' design, making it one of the most pointless Wii U ports.
