10 Wrestlers Who Didn’t Deserve To Be On The Cover Of A Wrestling Game

8. Scott Steiner - WWE RAW 2

Scott Steiner’s talents in wrestling are nothing to belittle or sneer at. He was part of the legendary Steiner Brothers tag team, he introduced innovative top rope moves like the Frankensteiner to American audiences and is a WCW Triple Crown Champion.

However, what everyone can agree was his time in WWE from 2002-04 was a major let-down. He was saddled with injuries. He was severely misused. He had a horrible feud with Triple H over the World Heavyweight Championship, with many viewing their Royal Rumble match/20-minute dud as the worst Triple H’s ever competed in. And eventually, he was relegated to mid-carder status, formed a heel tag team with Test that went nowhere before being released from his contract in August 2004.

When WWE RAW 2 was released for the Xbox in late 2003, which has Big Poppa Pump next to Triple H and behind Goldberg on the cover, WWE had very much already given up on Steiner. The same week the game was released Steiner became Test’s manservant in storyline.

Scott Steiner in WCW 1999–2001 very much deserves to be front and centre of a wrestling themed video game. Scott Steiner in WWE 2002-2004 very much doesn’t.
