10 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were In Non-Wrestling Video Games
9. Bullet Club/NJPW Stars (Tekken 7)
Now this one's cheating a bit, but there's a long history of that when it comes to video games. Let's just say we've used a GameShark (or the GameJohnTenta, if you prefer).
2017's Tekken 7, the latest entry in the long running smash 'em up, offered a whole wardrobe of wrestling costumes as part of Bandai Namco's partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling. A veritable merch table of togs, the DLC included both Bullet Club and CHAOS outfits at the peak of the pair's popularity, as well as a range of other New Japan garments that let players make Yoshimitsu more Yoshi-Hashi.
Even better was a unique 'Rainmaker' get-up for a Tekken mainstay, transforming wrestler King into the King of Sports. He was even given a brand new special move as part of the bargain, mimicking Kazuchika Okada's bundle-naming finisher. In late 2017, cape-swishing spikester Lars Alexandersson was given similar treatment, after the fashion of New Japan golden boy Hiroshi Tanahashi. Somehow, it made him look marginally less ridiculous.
