10 Wrestling Video Game Moments That Became Real
6. Both World Titles Are Unified
The first SmackDown vs. Raw game is an underrated classic. Was it as good as Here Comes The Pain? Probably not, but that doesn't mean it's some duffer that you should avoid at all costs. In fact, if anything, the whole SmackDown vs. Raw series set the tone for future events like Bragging Rights.
That's not the only future WWE plan THQ spotted back in 2004.
Their Season Mode peaked around No Way Out time (February) in-game. At that stage, Eric Bischoff can come out and challenge your wrestler to a unification 'Champion vs. Champion' match at WrestleMania. That sounds rather similar to the eventual Randy Orton vs. John Cena bout at TLC 2013, eh?
Randy unified the WWE and old World Heavyweight belts on that pay-per-view. Basically, it's entirely possible do that with Orton a full nine years before it happened in real-life wrestling, which is insane. That'd be like 2K22 predicting what's coming to Raw/SmackDown in 2030.
