6. Naked Escape & Crazy Colonel
Many of the greatest Metal Gear WTF moments are nonessential easter eggs or such. Of course, with a story as utterly insane at times as this series', a few of the most WTF moments are part of the canon. Late in the game, Raiden is captured and stripped of all (ALL) his gear and held for torture. However, Olga turns up and frees him, allowing him to get out of there so as to locate his equipment. In this state, Raiden is, naturally, extremely vulnerable, so raising an alert is out of the question. If this does happen, however, all hope is not lost; simply leg it back to the torture machine and press up against it (obviously making sure no baddies are in close pursuit). A guard will walk in and gaze longingly at Raiden's penis, before declaring his admiration and thus ending the alert phase. Cranking the WTF-ometer up to ten (there's no eleven on it, unfortunately) is the series of codec conversations that take place during the naked escape scene. The Colonel will repeatedly contact Raiden with increasingly weird advice, such as telling him to turn the game console off. It's about as absurd as it sounds, but that makes it fit the story all the better.
