2. EVA's Medical History
The great thing about gaming Easter eggs is that you generally never come across them unless you specifically choose to. We've already seen a few on this list, such as the vent-crawling voyeurism of MGS1. Not all Easter eggs require the player to be quite as dedicated as that, though. After the bike chase sequence in MGS3, Snake and EVA again find themselves in the jungle, which they must traverse to get to the WIG that's waiting for them so that they can escape Tselinoyarsk. There are two problems to start with: firstly, enemy sentries are scouring the area; and secondly, EVA's picked up some nasty injuries. It is up to the player to go to the Survival Viewer and patch her up (that is, unless you'd rather knock her out and drag her to the objective). Therein, you can peruse her medical and food history, and with each entry one can quite easily picture the scenario: fancy French and Italian dishes? Probably from before her mission, since she's eaten several portions of instant noodles more recently. Blow sustained? Colonel Volgin's sadistic games. Breast enhancement? Er, maybe the procedure was part of her cover? Well, what about her
proctitis?
