2. Titanfall
Like a few other titles previous, Titanfall isn't technically an exclusive. It is going to be available on the PC and the Xbox 360, but it is going to have no presence on the PlayStation 4. When I first saw Titanfall at E3, I was mildly underwhelmed. Another gritty, dirty, military, multiplayer centric sci-fi shooter did not exactly hit me across the face as new and exciting. However, after Respawn Entertainment gave me a closer look, I was hooked. Playing with a flexible narrative in the chaos of multiplayer matchmaking makes Titanfall stand out. It may be within the confines of a generic AAA game but underneath the hood is brains, fun and most importantly, heart. The game went on to win a bunch of game of the show awards and it is looking like we have a new IP that has a chance of being a console seller. Titanfall has the potential to be a mega-hit on the scale of Halo and, dare I say it, even Call of Duty. The fact that Microsoft have convinced Respawn to keep their game largely tied to their brand is a massive get for them. For the moment, and I can't stress ' the moment' enough, Titanfall is looking like it could be the biggest 'exclusive' (in terms of the big two) coming out in the first few months of each console's existence.
