3. Dead Rising
This game boasted thousands of zombies on screen at once and boy did they deliver. You play as Frank West- a photojournalist who is hoping for his next big scoop in Willamette after hearing that the whole town has been quarantined by the military. After flying over the town in a chopper you discover that the whole town is infested with the living dead and you get dropped off at the local mall, while telling the chopper pilot to come back in three days. This is were the fun really begins. After the zombies get into the mall it's up to you to find out what is going on and to defeat these zombies using a lot of creative ideas. You can pick up almost anything in the abundance of shops littered throughout the mall. This ranges from CD's, footballs and guitars to throwing bottles of ketchup or pies at them, or bottles of cooking oil on the floor to trip them up. Setting up various shots also allowed you to take photos of the zombies and these photos awarded you prestige points which were used to level up.
