2. Zombies Ate My Neighbors
The oldest game on our list but that doesn't mean it wasn't a lot of fun. You play as either Zeke or Julie who have to defend their neighborhood from a variety of horror inspired monsters such as vampires werewolves and the titular zombies. You were tasked to save all of your neighbors before the nasties got to them and if you didn't save all of them, you failed the level. The game was noted for it's tongue-in-cheek style and it's diverse weaponry such as soda can grenades, weed whackers, dishes and a bazooka. The game also didn't suffer from the "indestructible wooden door syndrome" of games of today. Stumbled across a door that was locked and you had no key? Destroy it with that bazooka!
