11 Best Fighting Games Of The Decade (So Far)

5. Tekken 7

Boy, developers just love to leave massive gaps between releases, don't they? A decade: that's how long Tekken fans have had to wait for the seventh installment to arrive, and no, the 2015 soft launch in Japanese arcades doesn't count.

Was a whole 10 years without Nina, Bob, Yoshimitsu and Heihachi worth it? Hell yes, is the simple answer. Tekken 7 is every bit a continuation of the series every PlayStation owner grew up with as a kid.

Namco stuck rigidly to its combo-based, three-dimensional roots with Tekken 7, so it looks, feels and plays exactly how you'd expect it to, only with a few new ingredients - Rage and Power Crush moves - sprinkled on top to spice things up.

The 3D fighter sub-genre has fallen by the wayside in recent times (it's not to everyone's tastes), but it's what makes Tekken... well, Tekken. Thank you, Namco, for sticking to your guns.

P.S. Please include this version of Yoshimitsu in the eventual Soulcalibur VI!
