11 Biggest Video Game Industry Lies You Still Believe

4. Nude Lara Croft Wasn't An Unlockable Feature

There's nothing quite like cubic boobs to get you hot under the collar! Looking back now, the furore over 'Nude Raider' was ridiculous, especially when you consider Eidos had to take legal action against a website who patched Tomb Raider to include Lara in her birthday suit. But fans became obsessed with the idea that you could somehow play the original game with a naked Lara. All kinds of rumours were floated about, spread by whispering kids at lunchtime as word spread that there was a way of seeing a bit of mild nudity. The rumours centred on players completing the game in certain ways to play in the nude. However the funniest "cheat code" involved the player tapping out the tune to Wannabe by the Spice Girls at which point, unable to resist the beat, Lara would start to dance and tear her clothes off. It sounds stupid - and it was - but people lapped it up and didn't think to question it, because their desire to be the first to do it amongst their friends was too strong, making everyone cave at some point. You were all as bad as each other, but that's ok - thankfully nobody knew any better.
