11 Cancelled Superhero Games That Would Have Been Amazing

10. Daredevil

Starting out as another run-of-the-mill superhero brawler, the scope of Sony's long-in-development Daredevil game was given a huge boost after the character's 2003 movie adaptation was announced.

With a newfound confidence that the game could do well if there was a movie to tie it into, the studio expanded the title to incorporate open-world elements, while introducing characters from the film like Electra and Bullseye to make it a more explicit adaptation.

While the brawling itself wasn't anything to write home about, gameplay did have a few interesting flourishes. Not only could you smash thugs with your fists, but you'd also have what looked like an early version of Batman's detective mode that could highlight enemies and their weak spots, as well as a traversal system that looked to be ripped straight out of Spider-Man 2.

Also, you could grind along railings like you were playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, a mechanic which is factually proven to make any game at least a 7/10.

It was never meant to be though, and the troubled title's chances of being released fell to below zero after its movie counterpart embarrassed Ben Affleck, and audiences, worldwide.
