11 Cancelled Superhero Games That Would Have Been Amazing

8. Justice League/Green Lantern

A 3D brawler that would have tied into the cancelled George Miller-helmed Justice League movie, both the game and the film went through many iterations before they were both eventually cancelled.

Initially set to feature many of DC's superheroes in both one-on-one bouts as well as more open fights against multiple bots, the title eventually shifted focus to become primarily concerned with Green Lantern in time for his upcoming big-screen debut in 2011.

Retaining the brawling focus but opening up the approach to be more story-driven and single-player focused, the newly-titled Green Lantern: A Justice League Game still featured a large DC cast, but was very much trying to establish Hal Jordan as its major star.

Eventually though, this Frankenstein compromise of a game was thrown out entirely a mere few months away from completion in favour of a fully-fledged Green Lantern tie-in release. The title's cancelation isn't the biggest loss for the video game world, but it's a shame it never saw the light of day, especially being so close to launch.
